CONSTITUTION

Article I – Name
The name of this organization shall be the “Rossmoor Camera Club”.

Article II – Purpose
It shall be the purpose of Rossmoor Camera Club to:

(1) share and enjoy activities in photography with fellow members and the Leisure World community;

(2) grow in the knowledge and practice of photography.

Article III – Membership
Any resident or person who has signed a contract to purchase a unit in Leisure World is eligible for membership. Special memberships may be bestowed on any person by the Board of Directors, as defined in the by-laws.

Article IV – Officers
Sec. 1. The officers of this Club shall be a President, First Vice-President, Second Vice- President, Secretary and Treasurer, who shall comprise the Executive Committee.

Sec. 2. The Board of Directors shall consist of the officers, chairman of standing committees, and the immediate past-presidents.

Sec. 3. Vacancies in the Executive Committee shall be filled by the President.

Article V – Meetings
Sec. 1. Regular Club meetings normally shall be held the second and the fourth Tuesdays of each month, except during June, July and August. Special meetings may be called by the President.

Sec. 2. The first regular meeting in May shall be the annual meeting.

Sec. 3. The Board of Directors shall meet at least three times a year at the call of the President.

Article VI – Fiscal Year
The fiscal year shall be from June 1 through May 31.

Article VII – Quorum
At any regular or special meeting, 20% of the members in good standing shall constitute a quorum.

Article VIII – Amendments
Any proposal to amend this Constitution shall first be presented to the Board of Directors, which, at its next meeting, shall consider such proposal. Thereafter, no later than the second regular meeting of the Club, the Board of Directors shall present to the membership the proposed amendment, together with the Board’s recommendations. There shall be at least one regular meeting prior to the meeting at which the proposed amendment is voted on. A copy of the proposed amendment, and the recommendation of the Board of Directors, shall be posted on the Club’s bulletin board, and copies made available to the membership on request. Adoption shall require a 2/3 vote of those present and voting.
